A friend of mine from Botswana recently sent me this article 'Mugabe the author of smart genocide' By Sihlangu Tshuma. I must admit that while being vaguely aware of the issues under the Mugabe regime, I had completely lost touch with the severity of the conditions the people of Zimbabwe are suffering. Journalists like Tshuma are taking huge risks bringing us this picture of an emaciated nation, so it's at the very least worth reading about it.
